Lewis's Building Inc. 5th Floor, Liverpool

Ojay/Leaf...

I have wanted to see the 5th floor for an age now, with one thing after another getting in the way, even failing to make the final tours due to other comittments I had finally given up once I heard the demo team had moved in and started yoinking stuff out.

Access was LulZ to say the least, even drawing some unwanted attention whilst inside..

Anyway once inside we headed to the 5th floor

First stop the Lifts

Originally you would have been greeted with this
(Pic permission from Georgie)

Here is what it looks like today

Looking back the other way

Note the Original Marble Detailing has been left intact

Salon

All that remains..

Cafeteria

Omnomnomnom (NOT), this place has been gutted to an inch of it's life, just like the rest of the place, except the tiles are listed and still remain.

Cologne Counter

Furniture

Xmas Decorations

Derp.. (Actually the Safe in the old cash office)

Main Stairwell

We mooched about some of the other floors, sadly this is the only Interesting Stuff that remains

Windows

At this point I thought it would be a good idea to become a Window Display, some funny looks were to be had.

Last but not least, (and indeed a bonus) The Rooftop

WWII Concrete Barges, Lymm

Ojay/Stepping Lightly...

Hidden away in a small corner of woodland, just off the Manchester Ship Canal in Lymm are these 3 concrete barges.

The area is quite overgrown, but easy enough to access once you know where to look.

Possibly linked to "Mulberry Harbour".

The Mulberry Harbour was built for D-Day in June 1944, it's purpose was to ease and speed up the unloading process so that Allied troops were supplied as they advanced across France after breaking out from Normandy and was one of the greatest engineering feats of World War Two.

Whilst in the Area with Stepping Lightly looking for venues for a highline we decided to take a quick detour to see the barges up close

Wiltshire Massive...

Yes it's that time of year again where we blaze down the M1 in WB's jag and meet up with the 28 crew (45+) this year for the annual meet.. oh and Speedios birthday!

After the usual meet at the Quarrymans we split up into 2 groups, we headed through 'Jacks' led by Urban Junkie & OT, Tommo leading the other group through 'Backdoor'.

I counted 45 at Cathedral Chamber, 'twas a good turn out.

After nearly an hour of dicking around with photos we headed over to Robots..

Again much faffing about as people took pics/made a brew

..Oh and OT cooked us some burgers..Yummy

Next up we have our very own Raptor Jesus with his Fire Breathing

5 hours later, we headed to 'backdoor' the quickest exit.. To the Cid0r Farm
