I came across this disused shaft in Gorton whilst mooching about the area for lids.
There are two of them (80ft), near to the resi, they were once wells, now capped and not in use...

Curious about what lies Below & Beyond. Bounded by Signage our curiosity grows. Scaling Bridges, climbing Cranes, hitting up Rooftops and Towers for awesome Views. Taking risks is standard eg; climbing Chimneys, Bridge-Swinging. Creeping around in Derelict Buildings, re-discovering the Industrial past as our forefathers knew it. I have always had a fascination from an early age with all things Subterranean. This includes exploring Mines & Bunkers, dicking around in Drains, Culverts, Tunnels & Sewers. It always amazes me what's 'Beneath our Feet'. Infiltrating Utilities and Windfarms. Some say this is mental, we have Asylums for this sort of behaviour. W.A.R.N.I.N.G Sometimes it goes wrong - Police and much worse Traumatic Injuries are part of the deal.....
